| hmmmm most probably.
But he didn't show concern for his son. Not in the slightest as we see from this weeks manga, he wrote Gaara off as a failure ages ago.
Family doesn't automatically mean concern etc.

| He showed surprise. From chapter 547 he saw his son in terms of his value to the village.
There was no parental prejudice here. He was objective and when he lost control after killing Yashamaru he said Gaara was a failure.
Family does not guarantee anything. To be Kazekage the village comes first. Yes you can care for your family but if they are going to be extremely detrimental to the village then you have to deal with them. Either that or step down as Kazekage cos you can't do the job anymore.
