Adapted from George R.R. Martin's epic fantasy novel series "A Song of Ice and Fire", this HBO project plans to explore the world of kings and queens, knights, lordlings, bastards, and renegades all struggling in the only game that matters--the Game of Thrones. The television series follows the multiple storylines of the A Song of Ice and Fire series of novels closely, and author Martin has stated that the pilot script was very faithful to his work.
